Frequently Asked Questions About Squarespace Web Designers

What do I need to provide before we start?

Very little. I just need your existing logo files and any specific photos you know you want on the website. If you have brand guidelines, great. If not, we will handle that during the design phase. You don't need to organize a massive folder of files before we begin (unless you want to, in which case, go for it!).

Do I have to write the content/text /copy myself?

No. Staring at a blank cursor is the fastest way to stall a website project, so I’ve designed my process to get you past that blank page paralysis.

How much writing you do depends on which package you decide but overall, my goal is to bridge the gap between your expert brain and the words on the screen. You provide the genius; I make sure it sounds as good as you are.

What happens if I don’t have good photos?

We can discuss this on our consult call. I can recommend stock photography that doesn't look like stock, or guide you on what kind of simple headshots you might need to book locally to make your website look professional.

How much time will I need to dedicate to the project?

Not much and that's my goal. The amount of involvement required depends on which package you choose, but in every case I've designed the process to protect your time. You'll show up for the strategy side of things at the start, give feedback at a couple of key checkpoints, and I handle everything in between. No all-day back-and-forth, no last-minute homework assignments.
